Natural oak cabinetry, a turquoise zellige-tiled dining island and open oak shelving in a light-filled family villa kitchen.
The project
This villa kitchen is a celebration of natural materials. The cabinetry is a natural oak veneer with recessed black grip profiles, paired with concrete-effect worktops and a white glazed brick splashback.
The dining island is the surprise: its top is hand-glazed turquoise zellige tile, every piece slightly different, which brings colour and a little imperfection into an otherwise disciplined room. Open oak shelves with integrated lighting hold the family's cookware and ceramics above a freestanding range cooker.
Inside the cabinets the detail continues with a corner carousel, drawer organisers and a tall pantry pull-out. The shoot captures the room by day and again at dusk, when the shelf and plinth lighting take over.
